Wellington College International School Bangkok opened in August 2018 and has enjoyed an exciting period of growth. It has quickly established itself as a strong Wellington community.
The school boasts a state of the art campus and excellent sports facilities, located in Eastern Bangkok. It is a co-educational day school for 2-18 years, which is currently open from Pre-Nursery to Year 10, when students begin their IGCSE courses. A Levels will be offered when students reach Year 12, as the students grow with the school.
The bold, bespoke school design responds to the education ethos of Wellington College, as well as the climate and culture of Thailand. Shunning ‘institution’ corridors, the layout introduces instead flexible communal learning spaces for small-group discussions, individual work and constructive play, allowing teachers to introduce concepts of independent learning from an early age. It also allows children to remain indoors when temperature or pollution levels demand it.
The School aims to deliver a world class academic and all-round education in English, underpinned by the Wellington Identity and values that are already very much alive.
