WCI are hiring!

International Director – Wellington College International

Wellington College is one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools and has an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the College, Wellington College International Ltd. (WCI) is the global licensor for all international operations and currently supports and quality assures six schools within the WCI family educating over 5000 students in China and Thailand.

Due to continued international growth into new territories such as India, WCI are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated International Director who will play a pivotal role in supporting existing and new partners to deliver outstanding schools that are distinctively Wellington.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience gained within an international education and school leadership environment, in addition to having a clear understanding of commercial and strategic planning, compliance and governance principles. An excellent track record in delivering ambitious targets, both educational and financial, is important too, as is the ability to lead and develop high-performing virtual teams and building strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Experience of working in Asia, and/or setting up a new school, would be useful, but is not as important as an adaptable and flexible approach, well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to perform well under pressure.

Whilst the successful candidate will be based in the UK (WCI Office operates out of Wellington College in Crowthorne, Berkshire ), candidates must be willing to travel extensively, particularly within Asia.

If you are interested in this exciting new role and you have both the above skills and experience,  and are mindful and experienced in safeguarding and professional standards, we would like to hear from you.

Closing date: 6 December 2021

Interviews will take place from w/c 10 January 2022

Wellington College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
